That might be rushing things a little, but hear me out. I'm creating a membership website (don't panic it's a free to join service) that all that's required to join, is to contribute an item to get started. I'm posting this blog, some say too soon, as when you arrive, you will likely view an "Under Construction" banner. Go ahead, and bookmark it, as myself, and my friend, and web designer (ben.bigbenshosting.com) are working frantically to light up the site, and are getting very close as I'm writing this blog, and it's a matter of days to a couple weeks.
If you've been watching the international news lately, you will have seen how bartering has become the preferred method of commerce in Greece, as their monetary system is hanging by a thread, and not a very strong one, at that.
Some economists are stating that our own monetary policies, are questionable, and we are facing a similar crisis, the only point of contention seems to be how soon.
All that aside bartering is becoming a pastime, for young, as well as old. Their are many means of getting involved, and although I won't mention any by name (I'm just getting started, the last thing I need is a defamation suite)I think our product will be superior to what is available currently, for several reason, and here are a couple.
Categorization: Our items will be categorized, as not to
Waste a bunch of you time looking through
stuff you could care less about.
Posting Parameters: You will be allowed to post your items
Either, site-wide, or chose a radius from
You home, or office, it's up to you.
There are going to be several more options available for you to post, and prosper, but you'll have to wait, and see, and yes I'm attempting to create a little suspense, can you blame me!
